Zoë Howells is a maker and textiles artist based in Dinas Cross, north Pembrokeshire; and is one of the makers involved in running Codi.

Zoë can often be found working in the studio at Codi, but also works at home and at college in Carmarthen School of Art where she is fully engrossed in a complete career change. Her first love is hand knitting, but she also embroiders, sews (infrequently), weaves and knits with her collection of vintage hand-powered knitting machines. 

Zoë is inspired by her surroundings and the landscapes of south west Wales, Welsh history and the Welsh language, and colour, colour, colour. Sustainable practices and  the sensitive and judicious use of precious resources are also key preoccupations within her work.
