Olla Emporium

Pembrokeshire born Jade Sims spread her wings and flew the small town nest to the big city a

decade ago, and has been running communal studio ‘Dirty Girls Ceramics’ since 2017. She

strives to provide a safe space for hobby potters to enjoy clay, fire their work and make

connections in the Cardiff arts community.

Jade is a human magpie - a collector of colourful shiny things - and her work reflects her

personal tastes. She enjoys experimenting, layering contrasting glazes to create unique effects,

often not being able to replicate them (to her fury).

The aim of Jade’s work is to bring joy to those who use her products. Made for everyday use,

she wants to make the little ritual of a morning coffee a more extravagant one.
