Little Barn is a small family-run business comprising of Sam and Gem. We live in the hills of West Wales on a small holding with our two children. We are keen permaculture gardeners, aiming to live as simply and gently as possible, weaving our lives alongside our environment.

The furniture we make celebrates our way of life; the simplicity of form, echoing a timeless design that reflects the local culture from which it originates. Working slowly, using traditional woodworking techniques and processes, we believe, enhances the natural beauty of the material and honours the skills of the craft workers of yesteryear. 

We source and process the wood ourselves, all wood used to make our furniture comes from the local area. We use wood that has fallen under natural circumstances or has been sustainably coppiced or reclaimed. Being part of the process from start to finish enables a deeper connection to the material and greater respect for the land and the natural environment.

We aim to celebrate each piece of wood by creating functional, and beautiful furniture that will be used and loved for generations.
