At about three my father helped me make my first thumb pot mug, which I still use, and I have loved working with clay ever since. I did a Biology degree at Exeter University and then went on to become a solicitor but realised that this was not the career for me. When asked at an appraisal,10 years ago, where I saw myself in 5 years’ time I said Potter or District Judge. I think that I made the right choice.

I live and work up in the beautiful Preseli Mountains making stoneware individual thrown domestic ware inspired by the environment around me.
